Android OS:--

Android is a mobile operating system currently developed by Google based on Linux kernel and designed primarily for touch screen mobile devices such as smartphones & tablets, Android User interface is mainly based on direct manipulation, using Touch gestures that loosely corresponded
to real World manipulation of on-screen objects along with a virtual keyboard for text input. in addition to the touch screen device, Google has further developed Android TV for television Android auto for Cars & Auto wear for wristwatches each with a specialized user interface.

Features of Android OS:--

Interface:-- Android default user interface is mainly based on direct manipulation using touch inputs that loosely corresponded to real-world activities like swapping, tapping, and pinching.

Application:--  Which extends the functionality of the devices are written using the Android Software Development Kit (SDK).

Memory Management:-- Since Android devices are usually battery powered to manage the processes to keep consumption at a minimum.

Hardware:--The Main Hardware platform for android is the ARM with x86 and MIPs Architecture also officially supported in later versions of Android.
